At YWLP, our commitment to helping middle school girls achieve a sense of competence, connection and autonomy through participation in a transformative mentoring relationship has never wavered. During the 2008-2009 school year, we served 75 seventh graders, 32 eighth graders for a second year, and trained more than 100 UVa women as mentors and leaders in their own right. In 2009-2010, we will be expanding into high school.

In recognition of the worth of mentoring, we are creating an Honor Roll of Women Mentors that will serve as a reminder of the contributions of the countless women who have had a lasting effect on the lives of others.

Your tax-deductible donation of $100 or more will add the name of a woman who mentored and nurtured you at an important point in your life to this plaque of recognition, which will hang in a prominent place at the Women’s Center.
